ABLE/GED – Prospective students enter the program by first attending an informational orientation session at their preferred class location. Students who choose to enroll will complete enrollment paperwork, a TABE diagnostic pre-test, student success activities, and a one-on-one meeting with their instructor. 2016-2017 orientation dates are listed by site above. ESOL – Godman Guild has provided English language classes for non-native speakers since 2013. Students must be 18 years of age or older. Our program is offered at no cost and is designed to be self-paced and tailored to meet the needs of the individual. Classes focus instruction on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Students also receive lessons on American culture.
ServSafe – This 6 week course prepares you to take the ServSafe certification exam, a nationally recognized credential for jobs in food service, restaurant management, and hospitality. ServSafe certification is issued by the National Restaurant Association.
Customer Service – This course prepares you to take the Customer Service exam, a nationally recognized credential for jobs in service, retail, sales, and hospitality. Customer Service certification is issued by the National Retail Federation.
E3 – The Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) of United Way of Central Ohio is pleased to offer the E3 program: Educate, Empower, Elevate program. E3 is designed to help low-to-moderate income working women reach a new level of financial stability for themselves and their families.

How to Enroll in Adult Education classes

Official GED Practice Test
The official GED practice test is available online through www.ged.com. Any person can create a GED account and take the GED Ready Practice Test under the “Study” link. The cost is $6 per test session. The full test is $24.
Godman Guild offers the official GED practice test at no cost on an on-going basis to ENROLLED students who receive a TABE score of Levels 5 or 6 in Reading and Math.
Official GED Test
The Official GED Test is administered at an approved Pearson VUE testing facility. Log in to www.ged.com to schedule the official GED test. First-time test takers in Ohio are eligible to receive an $80 voucher toward the $120 cost of the test. Vouchers are issued by Career and Technical Planning Districts in Ohio.
Students who pass the Official GED Practice Test at Godman Guild are eligible for an additional $40 scholarship to cover the remaining cost of the test.
Graduation: a formal cap and gown graduation ceremony is held every June for participants who earn a GED and/or a skill certification such as ServSafe. These educational milestones are a commendable accomplishment and should be celebrated with family and friends!
