Ellen Moss Williams

President and CEO

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Ellen Moss Williams has served on Godman Guild’s executive team for 19 years; seven as Director of Youth & Family Services since 2004 and seven collectively as Associate Director and Director of Workforce Development from 1994 to 2001.  She was named Godman Guild President and Chief Executive Officer in July, 2011.

Ms. Moss Williams received her BS in Business Administration from Strayer University and her MBA from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University in 2010.

Ellen Moss Williams has over thirty years of volunteer and employment experience working with programs focused on youth and family development and workforce development for youth and adults.

Ms. Moss Williams is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; she is on the board for the Human Service Chamber of Franklin County and the Columbus Federation of Settlements.

Ms. Moss Williams is currently co-chair of the Weinland Park Collaborative, chair of the board of the Community Economic Development Corporation of Ohio (CEDCO), and commissioner for the City of Columbus on the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC).

Linda Silva

Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer

Linda J. Silva has served on the Godman Guild executive team for five years and is currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer.

Ms. Silva holds a Bachelor of Science degree in family resource management, with an emphasis in communications and marketing, from The Ohio State University. She has over 18 years’ experience in donor and volunteer relations and management.

Ms. Silva facilitates the Guild’s development efforts, directs marketing and communication initiatives, creates and implements special events and manages media relations.

Ms. Silva is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Chief Operating Officer and Chief  Business  Development Officer

Jim Gill joined Godman Guild Association in 2005 and has been an active leader and member of the Executive Team. He has successfully managed a variety of innovative Workforce Development initiatives in partnership with service organizations and the Columbus business community. He was named Godman Guild  Association Chief Operating Officer and Chief Business Development Officer in  September, 2013.

Jim is a graduate of Kenyon College and also completed an executive graduate program  in Organization Development through NTL Institute and American University.  He also  earned numerous certifications and awards in the areas of Operations, Training  and  Development and Human Resources.

Jim’s passion for helping individuals and organizations succeed is evident throughout  his  career as a senior leader and executive. He has 35 years of experience helping  companies  in Food, Logistics, Telecommunications, Social and Professional Services industries,  locally and globally, to improve and grow. Mr. Gill, a Columbus native, and his  wife  Kathy have four daughters.


Kat Cochrane-Yamaguchi

Vice President and Chief Program Officer for Workforce Development

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Kat Cochrane-Yamaguchi has worked at Godman Guild since 2006.  In June 2016, she joined the Executive Team as the Chief Program Officer for Workforce Development.  She builds strategic workforce and educational partnerships, develops relevant, outcomes-focused programs and services, and leads a dedicated and dynamic staff committed to increasing the financial stability of adult participants and their families. Workforce Development programs include adult education, college preparation, work readiness, transitional employment, and job placement & coaching.

During her 10-year tenure directing the Guild’s Adult Education programs, Ms. Cochrane-Yamaguchi increased annual student enrollment from 130 students at one location to 600+ students at five locations and successfully expanded services beyond GED Preparation to include English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL),  college preparation programs, social work support services, and certification courses for nationally recognized credentials.

Prior to working at the Guild, Ms. Cochrane-Yamaguchi worked in Service-Learning for 4 years at Elon University (Elon, N.C) and Miami University (Oxford, OH) to increase students’ understanding of social justice issues through volunteer, internship, and service-learning experiences.  

Ms. Cochrane-Yamaguchi serves on the board of the Ohio Association for Adult & Continuing Education (OAACE).  She holds a Master’s of Education in Curriculum Development and Teacher Leadership and a Bachelor’s of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies  with a focus on Urban Geography, Sociology, and Education from Miami University.
