Individual Employment Placement

Godman Guild’s Economic Development provides one-on-one Job Placement Services which include: job searches, career planning, personal marketing material development, coaching for mock and informational interviewing, supportive services and referrals, and case management.

Follow-up and Job Retention Services include: career coaching, barrier reduction, case management, and supportive services to support client’s employment retention plan.

KEYS

A summer work internship program for clients ages 14 -24.  Participants experience Work Readiness training and are then placed into paid internships with area employers. Internships last 6 – 8 weeks.  We are no longer accepting applications at this time. 

Employment Open Computer Lab

Employment open computer labs are offered as an opportunity for individuals to apply for jobs, work on resumes, receive career coaching, employment assessments, and develop job leads.

Pathways to Work

A transitional employment program that provides a paid, supported, and supervised work experience to develop employment skills. Participants must attend Pathways Orientation Session in order to participate in Pathways to Work.

Supportive Services

Free babysitting services (children ages 6 weeks to 12 years) are available at our 6th Ave location during most class times through the Wee PLAY program. Wee PLAY is always provided during orientation and intake sessions. Additionally, our program social worker can provide support and resources to students working toward their educational and employment goals.

Wee PLAY – Free childcare services for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old while parents/legal guardians are participating in Godman Guild classes at our Sixth Avenue. In order to use Wee PLAY services, you must first attend a parent/guardian orientation session. Wee PLAY is only offered at our Sixth Avenue location during program orientation.

Social Work Services – Godman Guild’s social workers provide career counseling, referrals to community resources, assistance setting goals, and support to achieve goals.
