According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, there are over 600,000 homeless people in the U.S. In central Ohio, there are between 1,200-1,500 homeless youth and youth in transition. People experiencing homelessness are vulnerable to trafficking, disease, and victimization. Both short term and long term solutions are important to help people gain immediate safety and long term economic security.
Join us this month as we Stand Up! for homeless youth in Central Ohio. Through this month’s hygiene product drive, you can help us provide homeless youth with important hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, and deodorant. Our Community Roundtable will give Columbus residents a chance to discuss how this issue impacts people in our community and how we can work toward a solution.
