This role is a good fit for a dynamic, dedicated Adult Education Manager, someone who can provide leadership, management, planning, and coordination of Adult Education services. This role is in service of measurable impacts on academic and language skills that result in increased high school equivalency credentials, post-secondary entry and completion rates, and access to employment

Responsibilities:

-Work in alignment with the AVP of Workforce Development, staff, the Board, and the community in leading and coordinating the development and maintenance of the Adult Education Programs

-Work with the AVP of Workforce Development to develop an annual budget, program plan, and goals that clearly measure and articulate impact, meet outcome requirements for funders, and further the agency strategic plan by:

Evaluating programming and adjusting for quality, content, efficiency, and impact on an ongoing basis

Keeping the Chief Program Officer informed of operational decisions and concerns

Working with program staff to maintain databases and hard copy files, as well as monitoring, tracking, and analyzing reporting and impact data

Developing, planning, and coordinating special events such as graduation

Utilizing best practices to make informed programming decisions based on all available data

Recruiting and supervising a team of Adult Education Instructors and administrative staff to implement the mission of the agency and the program

Providing staff with leadership, direction, feedback, professional development, and training, as well as supervising and managing volunteers

Managing the daily operations of Adult Education programs, including scheduling, enrollments, documentation (rosters, agreements, etc.), curriculum, and data

-Coordinate additional Adult Education services, such as:

Working in partnership with the Adult Education Testing Coordinator to facilitate assessments and manage data/ information

Working in partnership with the Adult Education Social Worker to coordinate support services for clients

Working in partnership with members of the Program Leadership Team to align services and resources across the agency

-Manage the following program areas and components for Adult Education and the agency:

Aspire (Adult Basic Education/Adult Secondary Education (ABE/ASE) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL))

E3 (Educate, Empower, Elevate)

Volunteers, Interns and Work Study Students

Classroom-based education components such as digital literacy and tutoring

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in education or an equivalent degree (required)

- Supervisory experience (required)

- Experience managing educational programming and federal contracts (required)

- Intermediate computer skills and experience using office equipment (required)

- The ability to pass a criminal and child abuse background check per Ohio requirements (required)

- Possession of a valid driver’s license with no major or DUI offenses in the past five years (required)

- Current certification in first aid and CPR is (required, will be provided)

- Experience with Aspire program management (preferred)

- Teaching experience (preferred)

- The ability to speak and understand other languages (preferred) J

Job Type: Full-time

Benefits:

Pay: $44,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
