I had to leave my country and I arrived in the United States five years ago feeling frustrated, sad and disappointed because I did not understand any of the language. I wanted to find a school or a person who could help me with this. I heard about Godman Guild, I tried it and now I am so happy because I feel that I am achieving it. I now understand more and more English, and it has really been a great help for me and I want to continue until I complete the program. All the people of Goodman Guild are excellent for me, they are kind and patient to teach us.

When I came to the United States, I was so worried about my education, because I was new in this country and I didn't know anything about it. It's so hard to get an education here because it costs money, and to get money you need a job. But when you are new in a country with a totally different culture, this is so hard to do. I shared my concern with one of our case workers and he recommended Godman Guild. I applied for my ESOL and took the enrollment test to help me with my English classes. Now I am so happy that I can study for my ESOL and then start working on my GED and find a way to college. This is such a good place for people who are new in this country to study and get to their dreams and not pay.

My ESOL classes with Godman Guild have been awesome. I have been taking the classes twice a week for a year and I am really happy about my improvement. Now I feel more comfortable and secure when speaking English. I can make an appointment with a doctor on my own, communicate at the bank and with my son's teacher.  One great thing about the class with Cindy is she gave me recommendations on what additional Godman Guild resources I can use to achieve my goals. It was a completely customized program. I thank my teacher for all her patience and extraordinary enjoyment of teaching English. I fully recommend Godman Guild.
