Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are woven into the fabric of the Godman Guild Association.

Diversity makes our organization and community strong; our Board of Trustees, staff, program participants, and volunteers come from many walks of life and reflect the many perspectives that make up our community. Our core values of Teamwork, Respect, Quality and Accountability all depend on the pillar of diversity.

Equity is making sure everyone in the community has fair treatment and access in order to reach their full potential, while also recognizing that each person has different circumstances, resources, abilities, and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.

Inclusion provides a sense of belonging, strengthens our community and is essential to what we do.

Godman Guild Association's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement

Godman Guild Association is committed to respecting the members of our community, staff and participants. We are committed to providing a caring, friendly, and safe environment for ourselves and our  participants so we can all thrive and have equitable access to success. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is at the center of our mission. We could not serve the needs of our diverse community without consideration of what makes each individual unique.

We oppose any discrimination against any individual because of race, color, religion, creed,  sex (including sexual harassment), age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender  identity, disability, genetic information, or any other protected class. We stand against all forms of structural racism, ethnic discrimination and other forms of oppression that have contributed to racial disparities in the past and persist in the present.

As a community based partner in central Ohio since 1898, we actively remain focused on our founding principles of providing equity and ensure we promote solutions that break the cycle of poverty.  We seek to empower people to do and be what they dream, and are humbled by the stories of those we serve.
