WeePlay Supervisor

We are currently seeking a WeePlay Supervisor for our structured babysitting program for approximately 28 hours per week to lead the department.
This person will be responsible for the safe play of children of participants during education program hours while providing supervision and development of approximately 4 staff plus interns and volunteers. Program hours are 9am-noon Monday- Thursday and 5pm-8pm Monday- Thursday (with occasional other hours); the supervisor is expected to work 1 of those shifts each day in addition to being available for any urgent needs. Essential responsibilities include developing program curriculum and activities with a focus on preparing students academically and socially, providing staff with leadership, direction, feedback, development exercises and training regarding individual job performance, and Works with agency staff and the community in leading the development and maintenance of programs which comply with the highest county, state and federal standards.The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing a diverse team of staff while insuring best practices of structured play for children ages 6 weeks-11 years. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic and high level of trust, will demonstrate patience and understanding with staff, clients and community residents, multitask and prioritize competing deadlines, and perform assignments gracefully with frequent interruptions.

Work Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma with some college preferred. Child Development Associate Credential strongly preferred.

  • Experience in management/supervisory position preferred.

  • Current Blood Borne Pathogens, CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Appropriate child abuse/neglect training.

  • Requires satisfactory background check.

  • Requires working knowledge of Microsoft and Excel software.

  • Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Spend approximately 95% of the time on the job standing, bending, lifting, sitting and walking.

  • Communicate verbally and in writing in formal and informal settings.

  • Observe data, analyze it and enter it into a computer database or software program.

  • Valid driver’s license with current automobile insurance and able to pass license check to drive agency vehicles.

  • Requires evening and some non-traditional hours.

  • Listen to and follow instructions.

  • Utilize office equipment.
