IgniteULogoFinalscreen

IgniteU (fka A.C.E.S.) is a partnership with Weinland Park Elementary School (WPES) and Dominion Middle School offering in-school support and afterschool programming on site. IgniteU focuses on youth and family academic support and resources and is the foundation for shaping successful futures.

Academic Support

IgniteU provides programming and supports that increase the academic success of students by utilizing academic enrichment curriculum both afterschool and during the summer that is created in alignment with best practice and evidenced-based models. Our Education Specialists attend team meetings with teachers and receive intervention training for implementation in school and after school.

Development

IgniteU supports the well-being of students. Godman Guild is a member of Partnership4Success (P4S), an equity-centered community of practice designed to support partners with the collection and evaluation of social-emotional learning (SEL) data which is used to implement evidence-based practices designed to create positive outcomes for students such as decreased behavior incidents, increased attendance, and increased academic outcomes.

Family & Community Engagement

IgniteU supports family engagement designed to engage families in the academic and social development of their children. IgniteU family engagement is a service provided through our Client Success Team, which provides wrap-around supports. The YFE Client Success Coach offers individual student support to address student behaviors, family support through resources and referrals, and small group interventions to support SEL growth and reinforce learning from the Zones of Regulation curriculum. The Client Success Team also hosts workshops to engage families in building their capacity to support student success.

IgniteU Summer Empowerment

IgniteU's Summer Empowerment Program offers youth in grades K-8 a day camp experience that includes transportation to Camp Mary Orton, meals and snacks, traditional day camp experiential learning, activities aimed at bridging the summer learning gap, and employment through our Junior Staff program (a paid internship opportunities for “graduated” campers ages 13-18).
